Google SERP layout update rolling out right now!

If you had not noticed it yet, Google is rolling out an update on their results listing layout. It spots a really clean two-toned interface cutting off much of the clutter. We all know Google had been battling decreasing ad spend from advertisers and it’s safe to say that this new layout aims to combat that problem by offering a refreshing perspective to their results. AMP will soon dominate mobile search engine results

Google announced that they will be showing AMP (Accelerated Mobile Pages) results across all mobile SERPs. It’s now shown only in the top carousel section and is easily identified by the lightning bolt logo, indicating the content is available in the mobile format — comparable to “mobile friendly.” AMP (Accelerated Mobile Pages) load a whole lot faster, and initial data are showing that users love them, and publishers see good results from implementing them on their websites. As more and more mobile devices are taking over the searches from desktops, Google has announced that come May 2016, it will be an increased ranking factor.
